Proud vs. Humble.

Prideful people - focus on the failures of others.
Humble people - are overwhelmed with their own spiritual need.
Prideful people - look at everyone else's faults with a microscope but their own with a telescope.
Humble people- can forgive much because they know how much they have been forgiven.

Prideful people - look down on others.
Humble people - esteem all others better than themselves.
Prideful people - have to prove they are right.
Humble people - are willing to yield the right to be right.

Prideful people - are independent and self sufficient.
Humble people - have a dependent spirit and recognize the need for God and others.
Prideful people - claim rights and have a demanding spirit.
Humble people - yield their rights and have a meek spirit.

Prideful people - are protective of their rights, their time, and their reputation.
Humble people - are self denying.
Prideful people - want to be served.
Humble people - are motivated to serve others.

Prideful people - desire success.
Humble people - are motivated to be faithful and to make others successful.
Prideful people - desire self advancement.
Humble people - want to promote others.

Prideful people - are driven to be recognized and appreciated.
Humble people - have a sense of their own unworthiness; thrilled that God would use them at all.
Prideful people - are hurt when others are promoted instead of them.
Humble people - are eager for others to get credit.

Prideful people - feel confident in how much they know.
Humble people - are humbled by how much they have to learn.
Prideful people - are self conscious.
Humble people - are not concerned with self at all.
Prideful people - are quick to blame others.
Humble people - can see when they are wrong in a situation.

Prideful people - are defensive when criticized.
Humble people - receive criticism with an open heart.
Prideful people - are concerned with what others think.
Humble people - are concerned with being real.

Prideful people - have a hard time admitting they are wrong.
Humble people - are quick to admit failure and ask forgiveness.
Prideful people - are concerned about the consequences of their sin.
Humble people - are grieved over the root of their sin.

Prideful people - wait for the other person to ask for forgiveness when there is a conflict.
Humble people - take the initiative and asks for forgiveness right away.
Prideful people - compare themselves to others and feel worthy of honor.
Humble people - compare themselves to God and feel a need for mercy.

Prideful people - don't think they have anything to repent of.
Humble people - realize they have the need of continual repentance.
Prideful people - want people to get 'what they deserve'.
Humble people - want people to have what they don't deserve; grace and salvation.

I have a lot to work on..  But (with help) I can do better..
